BCCS Motivational Interviewing Workshop

You’re invited to the free Bridge to College and Career Success (BCCS) Learning Community Workshop on motivational interviewing. Local Houston expert, Eva Thibaudeau-Graczyk, LCSW, Vice President of Programs at the Coalition for the Homeless and HMIS Administrator for The Way Home CoC Lead Agency, will share motivational interviewing principles, techniques and best practices to engage opportunity youth and young adults in programs and services.
Who should attend? Organizational staff who work directly with clients through the intake process, advising and coaching, case and crisis management. Program leaders interested in adopting this practice.
Please RSVP by July 24 for each person within your organization who plans to attend. We hope you can join us!
About the Workshop
In this workshop Ms. Thibaudeau-Graczyk will walk through the key principles of Motivational Interviewing: Empathy, Guidance, Partnership. We will provide ample opportunity to role play and offer examples of the types of questions and approaches that help clients find their internal motivation and troubleshoot for themselves.
