1.) Alabama Extra Food Stamps January 2023

Alabama has announced that it will extend its extra food stamp program through January 2023.

This program provides Alabama residents with additional food benefits to help them during the pandemic. If you are a qualifying Alabama resident, you will receive your benefits on your EBT card on January 31st. This month, approximately 391,754 Alabama food stamp recipients will receive the emergency allotment.

2.) California EA Benefits (Calfresh) January 2023

California is offering emergency allotment benefits for January 2023. This means that Calfresh recipients will receive extra food stamps in addition to their regular food stamps.

The extra food stamps will be deposited in your Calfresh account on either February 4th or February 11th. Roughly 2,888,531 food stamp beneficiaries will receive the extra SNAP benefits in California this January 2023.

3.) Colorado Extra SNAP Benefits (January 2023)

Colorado will offer emergency allotment benefits in January 2023.

If you currently receive food stamps in Colorado, you can expect to receive your extra food stamps anytime between January 8th and January 13th. This is due to the 282,000 food stamp recipients in Colorado who will be receiving the EA benefits. The minimum emergency allotment benefit per household is $95.

4.) Washington D.C. Emergency Allotment Benefits January 2023

Washington D.C. has approved extra food stamps for the month of January 2023. This means that roughly 86,500 SNAP recipients will get this added food assistance benefit. If you are currently receiving SNAP your emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to your EBT card the same day that you received benefits in the past. These extra food stamp benefits are issued on Washington D.C.’s regular SNAP benefit deposit schedule.

5.) Louisiana Extra SNAP Benefits January 2023

Louisiana residents who are food stamp recipients will be happy to know that the state is extending the extra food stamps program into January 2023.

Those who have Louisiana Purchase cards will receive emergency allotment benefits in addition to their regular food stamps. The deposits for these extra food stamps will be made to your Louisiana EBT account on January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.

It is estimated that roughly 440,000 Louisiana residents will benefit from this program this January.

6.) Maryland Extra SNAP Benefits January 2023

The state of Maryland will be providing extra SNAP benefits to food stamp beneficiaries in January 2023. You can expect to receive your benefits anytime from January 4th to 23rd. Roughly 343,039 people will receive these extra SNAP benefits in January.

7.) Michigan Extra Food Stamp Benefits (January 2023)

Michigan will issue extra SNAP benefits to roughly 705,350 households in January 2023. If you receive SNAP benefits you can expect to have them deposited into your EBT account anytime between January 21st to January 30th.

8.) New Jersey Extra SNAP Benefits (January 2023)

New Jersey residents who receive food stamp benefits may also be getting extra money deposited onto their EBT card in January 2023. The emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards from January 1st to January 5th, in addition to the normal EBT deposit schedule.

This is terrific news for the 389,000 New Jersey residents receiving food stamp benefits, as it will help them stretch their budget a little further.

9.) New Mexico Extra Food Stamps January 2023

If you’re one of the 259,467 New Mexico residents receiving food stamp benefits, you could get extra SNAP benefits in January 2023. The extra benefits will be loaded onto your EBT card from January 1st to January 31st, so be sure to check your balance frequently.

10.) North Carolina Added Food Stamps January 2023

North Carolina food stamp recipients may be eligible for extra benefits in January of 2023. Benefits will be deposited on the following dates in January:

11.) Oklahoma Emergency Allotment Payments January 2023

Oklahoma is issuing extra SNAP benefits for January 2023. If you are a food stamp recipient in Oklahoma, you can expect to receive your extra SNAP benefits anytime between January 10th through January 15th. Roughly 323,265 food stamp recipients in Oklahoma will receive the EA benefits ($95 minimum benefit per household).

12.) Oregon Extra Food Stamp Payments January 2023

Come January, an extra food stamp will be given to 420,960 people in Oregon. If you’re already on food stamps, make sure to check your card balance on January 10th, January 30th, and February 1st to ensure that you receive the extra SNAP benefits for January 2023.

13.) Rhode Island Emergency Allotment January 2023

If you live in Rhode Island and receive food stamp benefits, you may be eligible for extra benefits in January 2023.

The Rhode Island Department of Human Services will be offering emergency allotment food stamps to 84,310 recipients. The extra benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on January 3rd. This is a great opportunity for those who are struggling to make ends meet. If you need help paying for food, be sure to look for those extra benefits in your EBT account in January.

14.) South Carolina Extra Food Stamp Benefits

South Carolina has approved the emergency allotment for January 2023 as well. The EBT deposit schedule for extra SNAP benefits will be the same as the regular food stamps which is from January 1st through 19th. Roughly 300,853 residents will receive January emergency allotment benefits in South Carolina.

15.) Texas Extra Food Stamps January 2023

Texas has extended the emergency SNAP benefits for January 2023. If you are one of the 1,353,086 food stamp recipients in Texas, this means that you will get additional benefits. The minimum amount that SNAP beneficiaries will receive is $95 dollars in extra food stamps. Benefits will be uploaded to Lone Star cards anytime from January 5th to January 10th.

16.) Utah Extra SNAP Benefits (January 2023)

Utah will also extend the extra food stamp program in January 2023. You may be wondering what this means for you and your family. Additional benefits will be given to roughly 75,900 food stamp recipients in Utah, which will be deposited to their EBT cards on January 28th

17.) Virginia Emergency Allotment Food Stamps January 2023

Virginia is offering extra food stamp benefits for residents in January 2023. If you are a food stamp recipient in Virginia, you may be eligible for the emergency allotment.

About 460,000 SNAP recipients will qualify for this food assistance benefit. If you are among them, you can expect to have your benefit deposited on January 16th.

18.) Washington Extra EBT (January 2023)

The State of Washington is committed to helping low-income families put food on the table. In January 2023, the state will offer emergency allotment food stamps to 513,702 food stamp recipients.

The extra SNAP benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on the dates of January 1st through the 20th. If you are a food stamp recipient in Washington and you have received the EA (emergency allotment) you may be eligible for additional benefits again in January 2023.

19.) West Virginia Extra SNAP Benefits January 2023

You may be eligible for extra SNAP benefits in West Virginia if you currently receive food stamps.

For those who are eligible, the emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards starting on January 4th and ending on February 13th. Benefits will be given to 169,593 food stamp recipients in West Virginia.

20.) Wisconsin Extra SNAP Benefits (January 2023)

In January 2023, the Wisconsin government will offer emergency allotment food stamps to 354,556 residents who currently receive food stamp benefits

These benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on January 21st, 2023. If you do not receive your benefits on this day, they will be issued on March11th, 2023.

21.) Ohio Extra Food Stamps January 2023

Ohio is another state that has extended the extra food stamps program into the new year. In January 2023 Ohio will issue extra SNAP benefits to roughly 673,063 households. 

Since we started following the states that are issuing extra food stamps in July, Ohio has been one of the states that has been late issuing benefits. This month they plan to issue emergency allotment benefits on January 24th in Ohio. If they do not issue benefits on this date the latest that I have observed that they issue them are on or around the 29th of the month.

22.) Hawaii Extra Food Stamp Benefits January 2023

If you’re a food stamp recipient in Hawaii, you may be seeing extra benefits on your EBT card come February 13th.

A total of 84,897 people in the state will receive the extra benefits, which are being distributed as part of an emergency allotment. If you’re one of the people who will be receiving extra benefits, make sure to spend them wisely so that you can stretch your food budget as far as possible!

23.) Illinois Extra SNAP Benefits January 2023

If you are a food stamp recipient in Illinois, you may be eligible for extra benefits. Illinois is offering emergency allotment food stamps in January 2023.

The emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on the dates of January 21st through January 29th. If you are a food stamp recipient, you should check your card balance starting on January 21st to see if you have received the extra benefits. Roughly 1,031,845 households will receive emergency allotment benefits.

24.) Kansas Extra Food Stamp Benefits January 2023

Kansas will offer emergency allotment benefits in January 2023 to help those struggling with food insecurity.

If you receive food stamps in Kansas, you can expect to receive your extra food stamps anytime between February 19th through February 28th. The minimum emergency allotment benefit is $95 for this month. Roughly 63,000 food stamp recipients in Kansas will receive the EA benefits.

25.) Maine Extra Food Stamp Benefits January 2023

You may be eligible for extra SNAP benefits in January 2023 if you receive food stamps in Maine. The emergency allotment benefits will be issued on January 10th, and roughly 94,859 food stamp recipients will receive the extra SNAP benefits.

26.) Pennsylvania Extra SNAP Benefits January 2023

Pennsylvania is increasing food stamp benefits for 1,037,201 residents in January 2023.

Emergency allotment benefits will be available on food stamp cards on any of the following dates: January 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 31st.

27.) New York Extra Food Stamps January 2023

New York will be extending the extra food stamps program in January 2023. New York SNAP recipients will receive emergency allotment benefits in addition to their regular food stamps. About 1,610,000 households will qualify for the emergency allotment benefits in New York for January.

When you will receive your extra SNAP benefits this month will depend on what part of New York state you live in.

  • If you live in New York City, you can expect to receive your EBT benefits between January 12th to January 27th.
  • If you live OUTSIDE New York City, you can expect your benefits to hit your EBT account anytime between January 9th to 12th, January 16th to January 19th, or on January 23rd.

28.) Delaware Extra Food Stamps January 2023

Delaware will issue extra food stamp benefits to 60,492 households. The emergency allotment benefits will be issued sometime in January 2023. The USDA website lists no EBT deposit date.

29.) New Hampshire Emergency Allotment Benefits (January 2023)

New Hampshire is set to offer emergency allotment food stamps in January of 2023. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) will be administering the benefits, which will be uploaded to food stamp cards on either January 3rd, January 20th, or February 17th at the latest.

This is good news for the 35,632 New Hampshire residents who are currently receiving SNAP benefits and may be eligible for the extra benefits.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services can answer any questions you may have about when you will receive your extra food stamps in January 2023.

30.) Guam Emergency Allotment January 2023

Guam will continue issuing extra food stamps to eligible SNAP beneficiaries in January of 2023. This added assistance will help 11,791 households in Guam stretch their food budgets further. If you currently receive food stamps in Guam, your extra benefits will be added to your EBT card on January 20th. 

31.) Massachusetts Extra SNAP January 2023

If you live in Massachusetts, you may be eligible for extra food stamps in January 2023.

About 628,754 SNAP households in Massachusetts will qualify for emergency allotment benefits. These benefits will be distributed to EBT cards on February 2nd.

32.) Vermont Additional Food Stamps January 2023

If you are a Vermont resident currently receiving food stamps, you may be eligible for additional benefits in January 2023. The state of Vermont has announced that it will approve the issuance of extra food stamps for 41,306 SNAP beneficiaries.

With this extra food assistance, you can stretch your budget and have enough to eat. The added SNAP benefits will be uploaded to your Vermont EBT card on February 14th.

33.) Connecticut Extra Food Stamp Benefits January 2023

Connecticut has also approved extra food stamps for January 2023. The USDA website does not have a deposit date, however, you will likely receive your benefits on the same date that you received them in December 2023.
