2 Types Of Housing Programs (Public Housing And Section 8)
There are two types of housing programs offered in Texas through housing authorities: Public housing and Section 8.
Public housing is a program that provides housing assistance to low-income individuals and families. If you are awarded public housing benefits you will have the option to live in an apartment complex that is managed by the local housing authority.
Section 8 (aka Housing Choice Voucher Program) is a program that provides housing assistance to low-income individuals and families as well as those who are homeless or have special needs.
