Are We Getting Extra Food Stamps In February 2023?

Extra Food Stamps Ending In March 2023

While this is good news if your state is on the list, you should also know that February will be the last month that your state will issue extra food stamps. All states will stop issuing extra food stamps in March 2023. Your regular SNAP benefits will not stop, but again the extra food stamps or emergency allotment benefits will stop in March 2023. 

The extra food stamps were paid for with federal funds as a result of the pandemic. With things getting back to “normal”, the government is ending the federal public health emergency declaration. This in turn means that extra food stamps will stop

1.) Vermont Additional Food Stamps February 2023

If you are a Vermont resident currently receiving food stamps, you may be eligible for additional benefits in February 2023. The state of Vermont has announced that it will approve the issuance of extra food stamps for 41,316 SNAP beneficiaries.

With this extra food assistance, you can stretch your budget and have enough to eat. The added SNAP benefits will be uploaded to your Vermont EBT card on March 14th.

2.) California EA Benefits (Calfresh) February 2023

California is offering emergency allotment benefits for February 2023. This means that Calfresh recipients will receive extra food stamps in addition to their regular food stamps.

The extra food stamps will be deposited in your Calfresh account on March 25th. Roughly 2,936,189 food stamp beneficiaries will receive the extra SNAP benefits in California this February 2023.

3.) Kansas Extra SNAP Benefits February 2023

Kansas will offer emergency allotment benefits in February 2023 to help those struggling with food insecurity.

If you receive food stamps in Kansas, you can expect to receive your extra food stamps anytime between March 22nd and March 31st. The minimum emergency allotment benefit is $95 for this month. Roughly 63,000 food stamp recipients in Kansas will receive the EA benefits.

4.) Maine Extra Food Stamp Benefits February 2023

Maine will issue extra food stamps in February 2023 to roughly 91,508 food stamp recipients. The emergency allotment benefits will be issued on February 10th.

5.) New Hampshire Emergency Allotment Benefits (February 2023)

New Hampshire is set to offer emergency allotment food stamps in February of 2023. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) will be administering the benefits, which will be uploaded to food stamp cards on either February 2nd, February 17th, or March 17th at the latest.

This is good news for the 35,389 New Hampshire residents who are currently receiving SNAP benefits and may be eligible for the extra benefits.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services can answer any questions you may have about when you will receive your extra food stamps in February 2023.

6.) Wisconsin Extra SNAP Benefits (February 2023)

In February 2023, the Wisconsin government will offer emergency allotment food stamps to 346,628 residents who currently receive food stamp benefits

These benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on February 17th, 2023. If you do not receive your benefits on this day, they will be issued on February 18th, 2023.

You’ll need to visit the ACCESS Wisconsin website to learn more about extra SNAP benefits that are being offered in February 2023.

7.) Washington D.C. Emergency Allotment Benefits February 2023

Washington D.C. has approved extra food stamps for the month of February 2023. This means that roughly 84,100 SNAP recipients will get this added food assistance benefit. If you are currently receiving SNAP your emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to your EBT card the same day that you received benefits in the past. These extra food stamp benefits are issued on Washington D.C.’s regular SNAP benefit deposit schedule.

8.) Louisiana Extra SNAP Benefits February 2023

Louisiana residents who are food stamp recipients will be happy to know that the state is extending the extra food stamps program into February 2023.

Those who have Louisiana Purchase cards will receive emergency allotment benefits in addition to their regular food stamps. The deposits for these extra food stamps will be made to your Louisiana EBT account on February 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.

It is estimated that roughly 450,000 Louisiana residents will benefit from this program this February.

So if you are a food stamp recipient in Louisiana, be on the lookout for these extra SNAP benefits coming your way. You can visit your local Louisiana food stamp office for more information on eligibility or learn about the EA benefits deposit schedule for this month.

 

9.) Michigan Extra Food Stamp Benefits (February 2023)

Michigan will issue extra SNAP benefits to roughly 705,350 households in February  2023. If you receive SNAP benefits, you can expect to have them deposited into your EBT account anytime between February 18th and February 28th.

10.) New Jersey Extra SNAP Benefits (February 2023)

New Jersey residents who receive food stamp benefits may also be getting extra money deposited onto their EBT card in February 2023. The emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards from February 1st to February 5th, in addition to the normal EBT deposit schedule.

This is terrific news for the 388,000 New Jersey residents receiving food stamp benefits, as it will help them stretch their budget a little further.

If you are a food stamp recipient in New Jersey, keep an eye on your EBT card balance during that period to take advantage of the extra benefits. For questions, you can visit the New Jersey Department of Human Services for more information.

11.) Oklahoma Emergency Allotment Payments February 2023

Oklahoma is issuing extra SNAP benefits for February 2023. If you are a food stamp recipient in Oklahoma, you can expect to receive your extra SNAP benefits anytime between February 10th through February 15th. Roughly 325,679 food stamp recipients in Oklahoma will receive the EA benefits ($95 minimum benefit per household).

12.) Oregon Extra Food Stamp Payments February 2023

Come January, an extra food stamp will be given to 416,115 people in Oregon. If you’re already on food stamps, make sure to check your card balance on February 10th, February 27th, and February 1st to ensure that you receive the extra SNAP benefits for February 2023.

13.) Rhode Island Emergency Allotment February 2023

If you live in Rhode Island and receive food stamp benefits, you may be eligible for extra benefits in February 2023.

The Rhode Island Department of Human Services will be offering emergency allotment food stamps to 81,077 recipients. The extra benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on February 3rd. This is a great opportunity for those who are struggling to make ends meet. If you need help paying for food, be sure to look for those extra benefits in your EBT account in January.

The Rhode Island Office of Health and Human Services will offer answers to questions you have regarding the emergency allotment for February 2023.

14.) Utah Extra SNAP Benefits (February 2023)

Utah will also extend the extra food stamp program in February  2023. You may be wondering what this means for you and your family. Additional benefits will be given to roughly 77,322 food stamp recipients in Utah, which will be deposited to their EBT cards on February 25th

If you are a food stamp recipient in Utah, this news affects you directly. Be sure to mark your calendar and set a reminder so that you can take advantage of these additional benefits when they become available on your SNAP benefits card.

15.) Virginia Emergency Allotment Food Stamps February 2023

Virginia is offering extra food stamp benefits for residents in February 2023. If you are a food stamp recipient in Virginia, you may be eligible for the emergency allotment.

About 470,000 SNAP recipients will qualify for this food assistance benefit. If you are among them, you can expect to have your benefit deposited on February 16th.

16.) Washington Extra EBT (February 2023)

The State of Washington is committed to helping low-income families put food on the table. In February 2023, the state will offer emergency allotment food stamps to 517,504 food stamp recipients.

The extra SNAP benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards on the dates of February 1st through the 20th. If you are a food stamp recipient in Washington and you have received the EA (emergency allotment) you may be eligible for additional benefits again in February 2023.

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services manages the food stamp program in the state. For questions regarding when you will receive the February 2023 emergency allotment or eligibility visit their website.

17.) West Virginia Extra SNAP Benefits February 2023

You may be eligible for extra SNAP benefits in West Virginia if you currently receive food stamps.

For those who are eligible, the emergency allotment benefits will be uploaded to food stamp cards starting on February 8th and ending on March 8th. Benefits will be given to 169,593 food stamp recipients in West Virginia.

If you receive SNAP benefits, watch for extra money on your SNAP card during this time period. You do not need to apply for these extra benefits. If you have any questions about the extra SNAP benefits, please visit the Virginia Department of Social Services website for more information.

18.) Delaware Extra Food Stamps February 2023

Delaware will issue extra food stamp benefits to 60,492 households. The emergency allotment benefits will be issued sometime in February 2023. The USDA website lists no EBT deposit date.

19.) Maryland Extra SNAP Benefits February 2023

The state of Maryland will be providing extra SNAP benefits to food stamp beneficiaries in February 2023. You can expect to receive your benefits anytime from February 4th to 23rd. Roughly 347,320 people will receive these extra SNAP benefits in February.

Extra food stamps will stop in March of 2023. February will be the last month that states will issue extra food stamps. You will continue to receive your regular food stamps, but again the extra benefits will stop come March 2023.
