My brother currently has Gold Card Services. He is in dire need for an eye exam, and new glasses. Does Harris County Health provide for these services? (Eye exam, eye glass frames and prescription glasses?

Hi Janet, I don’t know of anyone personally who has received eye care, but on the Harris Health website they list Ophalmology as a specialty they offer.

To make an appointment your brother would need to call the appointment line at 713.526.4243. To be referred for eye care he may need a referral from his primary care doctor at Harris Health System.

But to answer your questions it does look like they have eye doctors to possibly help him w an eye exam, glasses, etc.
