Hi Debra first I would try using the Texas food stamp calculator to see how much benefits you are entitled to. Monthly income is a factor, but so are deductions. Things like your gas and water bill, mortgage, medical costs all help to lower your net income. If you do not list all deductions then that could be the reason you are only getting $26.
